The Sun’s Golden Kiss
Just a moment earlier, the golden leaves and the copper tones of the branches missing bark were “hidden” along with the rest of the foliage on this dark and cloudy winter day in the Pacific Northwest. Just then though, the sun burst out from behind the clouds, just for a moment, and just enough to light up these leaves and branches to make sure the stunning pops of gold and copper you see here, while leaving the rest of the foliage greyed in cloud shadow.
